Senri Oe has been active and influential in Japanese music scene as lyricist, composer,and arranger since he debuted in 1983. In 2008, he decided to pause his 25 year-long career in Japanese popular music for pursuing jazz, and moved to New York City. After playing at at various venues in New York City for the past 5 years, Senri, also known as a regular pianist for Morning Musuko, an award-winning NYC-based 17-piece jazz big band specializing in Japanese popular music (J-pop), now welcomes you all to join him and his quintet for a live performance to mark the launching of his first U.S. album entitled "Boys Mature Slow."
