Jofre has taken his form of contemporary tango to some of the most important venues in Asia, Europe, America and the Caribbean as soloist, composer and arranger. He has collaborated with the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Paquito D’ Rivera Sextet, Nina Beilina, Dartmouth Wind Symphony Orchestra,Festival of the Americas Symphony Orchestra, Fernando Otero Quintet, Westchester Jazz Orchestra Mendoza National Symphony Orchestra, Frost Studio Jazz Band among many others. Mr. Jofre has also received commissions and he has been part of many festivals such as the prestigious Umbria Jazz Festival, Sudtirol Jazz Festival, Celebrity Series of Boston, American Virtuosi, Bachanalia Taiwan among others.
Juan Pablo began playing percussion and guitar by hart at the age of 14. Years after he decided to join the the Escuela de Musica de la Universidad Nacional de San Juan, Argentina, where he studied, drums, guitar, piano,voice and composition, before eventually deciding to dedicate himself to the bandoneón in. In 2003, Juan Pablo gave his first concert as arranger and soloist bandoneónista at the 1st International Festival of Chamber Music for such an event Mr Jofre arranged pieces for 12 Cellos and Bandoneon
Mr Jofre is courrently writing music for Boston Symphony Orchestra’s ex-principal harpist Ms. Ann Pilot, Symphony Silicon Valley, Gabriel Ensemble among others.
