Cidinho Teixeira

The name Cidinho Teixeira is synonymous with Brazilian Groove. Born in August 14th 1942 in Rio Grande – R.G do Sul, his lifelong immersion and proficiency in many of the styles of Brazilian music have given him great insight into the elements needed to make the music “feel its roots” and “move the people”. He was one of the pianist at Chico’s Bar in Rio de Janeiro during to 70’s when bossa nova hit the scene for the second time. He was even playing a set when Bill Evans arrived to check out the music. Cidinho has Performed with some of the top Brazilian personalities including Gilberto Gil,Djavan,Leny Andrade,Gal Costa, and Simone to name a few. Most recently. He played a European tour with the legendary Johnny Alf and Alaide Costa.
